Religious Education
Our vision for R.E is based on the Kent Syllabus for RE supported by plans from Canterbury Diocese.
Religious Education at Aylesham Primary School
At Aylesham, Religious Education (RE) is about more than learning facts—it’s about helping children understand themselves, others, and the world around them. Our RE curriculum is designed to:
- Be ambitious and knowledge-rich, preparing children for the challenges of secondary school.
- Build learning step by step, so children make connections and deepen understanding.
- Inspire pride in our local community while broadening horizons beyond it.
- Introduce pupils to important ideas, beliefs, and traditions from different faiths and cultures.
- Provide opportunities for reflection and spiritual growth, helping children explore their own values and identity.
- Encourage respect, sensitivity, and moral responsibility in a diverse society.
